What Is The Power Of True Faith

The word “Faith” appears in the Christian Bible numerous times, and for good reason. In this blog post then we will discuss what is the power of true Faith.

The word “Faith” translated from a word in Ancient Greek – from which the Bible was originally translated – was “Pistis” – which meanings include “conviction” or “assurance”.

Pistis in turn is a derivation of the Ancient Greek word “Peitho” which means “to wax confident”.

These are fairly acceptable translations keeping in Mind that Jesus spoke Aramaic which is a totally different language to Greek, and one from which it is very difficult to actually translate – only interpret.

The Old Testament, being written and maintained in a relatively pure state, in Ancient Hebrew says this of Faith:

Now Faith is the Substance of Things Hoped For, the Evidence of Things Not Seen — Hebrews 11:1

Now this is a much more accurate representation of the power of True Faith for reasons we will discuss later.

As expressions of Source, First Cause, God, we share the same unlimited, unrestricted powers of creation – or e correctly expression – all we ever need is to realise those powers” conviction”, “confidence” and sublime Faith, in complete assurance and knowledge of our true Divine Nature.

The opposite of true Faith is “doubt”. Doubt is a very powerful, but highly negative and destructive emotion, related to “fear”, that effectively blocks or retards the creative process by opposing Faith.

Alas many still, due to millennia of programming and control, find it much easier to embrace fear and doubt instead of Divine Faith.

“Faith” is the energy, the power behind attracting everything desired effortlessly.

The great mystic, messenger, healer and metaphysician who came to be known as “Jesus” made this point time and again:

And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you — Luke 17:5-6

And:

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. — Matthew 17:20

Throughout the Bible you will find similar references to Faith and Belief.

The “secret” to experiencing anything genuinely needed, wished For or desired is therefore very simple and extremely powerful:

Know, beyond all doubt, with complete confidence that we are all integral, Divine aspects and expressions of Source, God, with the same creative powers. Imagine and Believe, beyond all doubt and with complete conviction, confidence and assurance that you already have that which you desire, and with absolute Faith in your God-given powers within, with absolute Belief, feeling and gratitude, and it will be yours – every time.

For those that still doubt the power of true Faith, consider then the words of Jesus:

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. –Luke 12:32-34

By “bags which wax not old” Jesus is stating the powerful truth that the true treasure, the treasure that is eternal, is within. So we should not seek ephemeral material possessions without, but rather the Kingdom of Heaven within. So before seeking to manifest anything into your physical experience, we should always look within and never without with Perfect Faith.

In the words of Jesus “Your Faith Makes You Whole”. Our Faith makes us Whole because in reality we are whole already.

Faith simply serves to emphasise That Which Already is.

The “works” come automatically through the Heart that Believes with Perfect Faith.

In the context of the Divine Principle of Faith, this includes:

  1. To become aware of that Which eternally already Is – the Omnipresence of Source.
  2. To claim the good desired through Faith and Belief.
  3. To Accept the desire as already fulfilled.
  4. To realize our Oneness with Source until the feeling of fulfilment arrives.
  5. To know that which we desire is already ours. awaiting expression into our experiential reality.

Where then is Source, God?

Source is within each one of us as Divine Expressions of Source. We ARE Source, or Children of God if you prefer.

Realisation of this Ultimate Truth must bring Faith in our Divine Expressive Powers.

When we Believe that our desire is already fulfilled, believe that what you we are asking for is Already ours, that which we desire must be expressed in to our experience.

As Jesus stated:

What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them — Mark 11:24

And:

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive — Matthew 21:21-22

There is truly nothing we cannot experience, nothing we cannot heal, nothing we cannot be if only we express the power of true Faith enough to accept the fact that whatsoever we seek is already ours, within us and part of us..

It is Impossible to imagine anything that we cannot experience.

In other words – if we have the capacity to imagine It – we may Experience it.

Faith is the power behind expressing imagination in to experience.

Our true power then is Source within us.

As Jesus aptly stated:

I can of mine own self do nothing — John 5:30

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works — John 14:10

So should we simply “have faith in God”?

No.

We Should Have Faith IN and AS God.

And So It Is.
