The Animal Kingdom And Equality Of Life

Hundreds of thousands to millions of years ago, our ancient ancestors were simple primates living in trees and caves alongside every other animal and forms of wildlife, all with one simple objective in common – basic survival.

“Man and beast” were equal – not only living as neighbours, but also as a source of food for each other.

As man has “morphed” numerous times to the “species” we are today, human beings have progressively, and often destructively, changed their attitude towards animals, the environment and other forms of life we share our small planet with, due to one factor, the ego which believes that everything on Earth exists exclusively for the benefit and pleasure of the human beings.

Now this may seem somewhat of a paradox. While the ego can be, and very often is, extremely destructive, as witnessed by wars, conflict, greed and thirst for power and control, the ego is also a necessary aspect of the human being – limited by the delusions of duality, “time” and “space”, in order to accomplish the main reason the Higher Self sends people to Earth – to transcend the influence of the ego.

Those who have subjugated the ego, revere all animals, wildlife and other Divine Expression of Source, recognise and understand the animal kingdom and equality of life, and would therefore never, ever knowingly harm any other life form or participate, either directly or indirectly in doing so, including eating them as food or hunting them for their bodies or pleasure. Such a human being lives, breathes, feels and Is The Oneness of All, where there is no separation, duality or inequality.

Humanity generally has however made considerable progress over the last 100 years. For example – when people go to Africa on safari, whereas 100 years or less ago they would have shot wildlife with a gun, today people “shoot” wildlife with a camera, and are becoming more aware of the animal kingdom and equality of life.

The number of people abandoning the eating of animals for “meat” is increasing exponentially in favour of a plant based diet.

Over the last 100 years, large scale highly large-scale wars have been replaced largely by more local conflicts.

Humanity is also moving away from the highly destructive practice of oil extraction and use from the Earth in favour of sustainable green energy solutions such as solar, wind and water power.

So what then of “animals”?

Unlike human beings, animals have no ego. Animals behave purely instinctively instinctively, always in harmony with their environment, and know Only Unconditional Love in their own way. When an animal kills another species there is no motive other than the instinct for survival which is entirely natural in accordance with Divine balance and order.

Many people erroneously believe that animals have been “placed” on Earth exclusively for the food and pleasure of human beings. Of course this view entirely originates from the ego, and is completely erroneous.

If animals are here for the benefit of humans, it is certainly not for food or pleasure but rather to maintain natural Universal balance, serve as an excellent example and teachers to humans and to indirectly participate in the overall process of evolution of their own species and of Earth and life on Earth generally.

It should be evident therefore that every animal and life form on Earth has a unique role, none more or less “important than the next or of human beings.

All life Is, without exception, One Divine, Unified Expression of Source, The One, The All.

But what about pets? The answer is dependent on how the “pet” is regarded and above all treated.

The ancient Egyptians for example worshipped cats and placed cats above themselves, elevating them to God-like status. The Egyptians were highly Spiritually aware people.

If a cat or other “pet” who is Unconditionally Loved, and return Love Unconditionally in return, are removed from their family, even temporarily, they never rationalise their situation in human terms, or experience human emotions, but very much feel being separated from that Love, they feel a sense of loss and bewilderment.

There are many great people who fully recognised the role of animals on Earth.

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated” ~- Gandhi

Attitude towards animals extends far beyond pets.

When people shop for their “Sunday roast” or “meat” for any meal, all they see is a lump of nicely packaged “red meat” which will “taste good”, without ever stopping to consider that what they are about to enjoy on the table was recently an alive, sentient animal, an equal expression and aspect of Source, God, with a life and a path to Source, just the same as a human being.

Of course many people fear the reaction and rejection of family, friends and society if they change their attitude towards other forms of life or eating habits.

As previously mentioned, exponentially more people are now choosing to exclusively consume a plant based diet, as well as ensuring that no form of life, of whatever size, shape or habits is affected by the consequences of their own choices and actions.

All Spiritual change must come from within, the Heart and Spirit, rather than resulting from any forced choice and action with the expectation of evolving Spiritually as a “reward” or to please others, or to conform to the “norms” and expectations of “society”..

No form of life, whatever size, shape, colour, location or abilities is in any way less “equal” than others in any way, including the race of animals called the “human being”.

Only when a human being Unconditionally accepts, respects and above all Loves All forms of life, equally Divine and Perfect Expressions of The One Source, who all share this planet together in perfect harmony, can there be true Spiritual Evolution of the human race as a whole.

Source, in Divine Love for All Expressions Of It-Self, never, ever intervenes, influences or make exceptions.

Every human being On Earth Is here To evolve through Spiritual Awakening to the truth, assimilating the truth and purely following the Heart and inner guidance. This is the very nature of Spiritual Evolution which Is Divinely Perfect.

I will conclude with this most appropriate and true quotation:

“A human being is a part of the whole, called by us ‘ Universe,’ a part limited in time and space.
He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest. A kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us.
Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.
Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security.”

~ Albert Einstein

We are, each and every one of us, blessed With Divine Freewill that we may make and live by our own choices and to fully accept the consequences of the choices we make including attitude and treatment of the animal kingdom.

And So It Is.
